After taking a fresh look at Walt Disney’s 101 Dalmatians (1961), it dawned on me that Ms. Cruella De Vil could be wearing a killer fur coat right now if she had done a better job hiring henchmen.
While great leadership qualities are important, it’s just as important to let potential staff know what type of person they will really be working for. They’ll find out sooner or later- tell the truth up front!
Cruella De Vil’s leadership qualities:
- Impulsive and impatient
- Lack of empathy
- Money driven, prefers to get things done using cold hard cash.
- Success is based on whether or not she has what she wants
- Only makes promises she never intends to keep
- Unwilling to compromise
Now that candidates know what their potential employer is like, Ms. De Vil needs to make those job descriptions clear and relevant.
Personal Henchman — Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Once Cruella De Vil decides to fire Horace and Jasper (current henchmen on payroll), she will need to focus on recruiting and hiring henchmen who are a good fit. With the right support, she’ll have a furry new wardrobe in no time!
